Cold and Flu Season

Dear Parents,

This is the season of colds, flu, and assorted viruses. May I take this time to ask for your cooperation with proper winter attire for your child.
Please check that your child wears warm clothing - hat, gloves, boots, and a winter coat for outdoors and a long sleeve shirt or sweater for indoors.
It is important that your child wear boots on cold, snowy or wet weather days. It is also important, however, that you remember to send shoes or sneakers for your child to change into for the school day. Boots are too hot to wear in school all day. There are many children sitting in school with wet feet because of a beautiful puddle or snow pile that could not be passed by, so boots are important.

If your child is sick or has been up during the night with fever, nausea, sore throat or an earache, please keep him/her home for the day. Temperatures are usually lowest in the morning and sending the child when not feeling well is not conducive to learning, plus the germ is passed on to the rest of the class.

Thank You,

Mrs. C. Hurley
School Nurse
